Hi, I’m Andy Valentine of Garage Tinkering, a YouTube channel dedicated to looking at the way we make custom technology for cars and asking the question “is there a better way?”

With a PhD in User Experience design for the small screen, and over 25 years of experience in corporate IT as a User Interface and Applications Developer, I’ve put my hand to creating hundreds of apps, products, websites, and brands all over the world, and now have decided to turn my passion from project cars into redefining what it means to create stunning, useful displays that you can use in your own car.

Obviously, each one of us is different and likes things their own way, so the focus on my products is to offer a hardware and software ecosystem that you can customise to your own needs and tastes, and then share with others in an open source platform.

Hardware is designed to be functional and extendable without being prohibitively expensive, whilst the software will allow you to create your gauges your way with minimal coding experience.
